Verlon Ray Oaks, 66 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at his residence. Verlon was born October 4, 1950, in Ohio County Kentucky to the late Dewey and Ollie Hall Oaks. He was of the Jehovah Witness Faith and other than his parents he is preceded in death by three sisters Juanita Rogers, Wanda Southerland and Roxie Harder and two brothers Glen and Walter Oaks.
Verlon Ray Oaks is survived by his wife, Karen Oaks of Morgantown, Ky.; one son Jamie Ray Oaks (Michaela) of Bowling Green, Ky.; one daughter Amie Oaks (Joey Mercer) of Morgantown, Ky.; three brothers Roy Oaks (Cassie) of Morgantown, Ky., Vernon Oaks (Lisa) of Morgantown, Ky. and Raymond Oaks (Trina) of Pleasant Ridge, Ky.; one sister Ruth Havens of Pleasant Ridge, Ky.; two step granddaughter McKenna and Ryleigh Wilson of Bowling Green, Ky.; one granddaughter on the way Marley Jean Mercer and several nieces and nephews.
