Tiffany Hampton: Life in Logansport

Earlier this week, my 3 year old son looked at me and said "I love you momma, you're the best!" That was the absolute highlight of my day. It very well may have been my favorite "mommy moment". All of which lead me to ponder this: If I were asked to tell my most favorite moment as a mom, what would it be?

As a parent, I feel like that question probably has a never-ending answer. Each day provides me with a memory. Even the day that Tucker decided to squeeze an entire tube of toothpaste onto the bathroom wall. When our children are just babies, we have memories of all " the first" things they do. The next stage of life brings all those unpredictable moments of parenting a toddler! Enough said, right? Being the parent of a toddler can be like riding a roller coaster. Their personality is coming alive in full force. One minute they're up, and the next minute they're down...literally, like on the floor having a fit. But also like a roller coaster, I'm realizing that it all happens so fast.

I try to remind myself to embrace each day and the memories that are made that day. Just as my kids place memories in my heart, I'm also placing memories in theirs. One of these days, they will be the ones saying remember when....
