Thomas W. Carathers, age 69 of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023 at his residence. He was born on Wednesday August 4, 1954 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Charles and Julia Ann Kirby Carathers. Thomas loved tractors, watching western's, fishing and above all his little dog Bella. He always told the tallest tales in the state and if you knew something, he knew it better. His humor and stories will be missed by many. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his companion  Harriet Bratcher and one sister Anthylene Childress. 

Thomas W. Carathers is survived by his children Thomas Saran Carathers (Tammy) of Morgantown, KY David Carathers of Morgantown, KY, Cassandra Carathers Freeman (Will) of Hartford, KY and Kelly Turley of Morgantown, KY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters Betty Jenkins of Beaver Dam, KY and Reita Brooks of Morgantown, KY; three step children Kelly Ball, Tonya Lindsey and JD Bratcher and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 1:00 pm with Bro. Raleigh Blancett officiating. Burial will be in the Youngtown Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 9:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
