Thomas Hugh Howard

Thomas Hugh Howard, 87 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Hugh was born November 20, 1925 to the late Millard and Annie Beck Howard and husband of the late Elinor Gwynn Waddle Howard. He was a member of Mt Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, a  United States Army Veteran serving in World War II as a medic in Okinawa, Japan, retired farmer, and truck driver. Preceded in death by 4 brothers Emmitt, Thurman, Roscoe and Edwin Howard.
Thomas Hugh Howard is survived by his 6 children: Sylvia Ann Wilson and husband Rob of Weston, Florida, Cynthia Gail Hudson and husband Ron of Bowling Green, Ky., Thomas Hugh Howard Jr. and wife MaeDean of Morgantown, Ky., June Alice Wilson and husband Leon of Morgantown, Ky., Gwendolyn Kay Whittinghill and husband Michael of Jetson, Ky. and Jeffrey Lane Howard and wife Ann of Morgantown, Ky.; 16 grandchildren Steve Morris, LaDonna London, Robby Hudson, Glenn Hudson, Jodi Alexander, Becky McGregor, TJ Howard, Shawn Howard, Russell Howard, Ron Howard, Timmy Wilson, Kevin Wilson, Sterlyn Wilson, Bennie Wilson, Ryan Whittinghill and Deitra Howard, 31 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at the Mt Vernon Missionary Baptist Church Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 2:00pm with Bro. Gary Embry officiating. Burial will be in the Mt Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 12:30pm until funeral time at the Mt Vernon Missionary Baptist Church.
