Theressia Gail Hammers age 60 of Clinton, TN passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011 at her residence. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Theressia loved to sew, quilt, and work puzzles. She was preceded in death by her father William Cleo Carter; First husband, Paul Lynn Rhea Sr.; three grandchildren, Jonathon Rhea, Nicholas Hammers, and Jeffrey Hammers.

Survivors: Mother: Margie Carter of Heiskell,TN; Husband: Johnny Hammers of Clinton, TN; Sons: Paul Rhea of Oliver Springs, TN; William Rhea & Brandy of Powell, TN; Johnny Hammers & Kris of Quality, KY; Matthew Hammers of Kentucky; Rodney Hammers & Wendy of Kentucky; Daughters: Donna Rhea ofTennessee; Laura Novak & Greg of Texas; Christina Meyers & Steve of Tennessee; Brother: Douglas Carter of Clinton, TN; Sisters: Rebecca Farrell & Todd of Clinton, TN; Tammy Henderlight & Jeff Claxton, TN; Jeanette Carroll & Ronnie of Oak Ridge, TN; Jennifer Spoon & Mike Heiskell, TN; Best Friend: Georgia Kelly; 19 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and one on the way, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Theressia’s family will receive her friends on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 12-2pm at Eagle Bend Apostolic Church with a Celebration of Life at 2pm following the visitation. Theressia’s interment will follow at Cox Cemetery in Clinton, TN. Jones Mortuary, LLC in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jones Mortuary, LLC.
