Thelma Mae Neighbors Phelps

Thelma Mae Neighbors Phelps, 64, of  Morgantown passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.  Thelma was born February 4, 1950 in Butler Co., Ky.  She  was born to the late Archie and Beatrice McKinney Neighbors.  She worked at Kane's and Kellwood, also nursing homes as well as being a private sitter.  She enjoyed quilting and designing her own patterns for quilts and researching genealogy.   She was  preceded  in death by her parents, son James Edben Fields and brother Bobby Neighbors.
 
Ms. Phelps is survived by one daughter Angelia Fields Ettadouari of Morgantown; one son James Jason Fields and wife Mary of Morgantown; two step children Steven Fields of Henderson and Dena Fields of Russellville; grandchildren William Joseph Woodcock and wife Emily, Brianna Woodcock , Joshua Henderson, Kyle Fields, Joseph Fields, Erica Henderson, Brittany Henderson, Amber Rigsby, Wayne Whittinghill, Jacqueline Vaughn, Lloyd Fields and Steven Fields; 22 great grandchildren; brothers Fred Neighbors, Larry Neighbors, Wendel Neighbors and Donald Neighbors; sisters Amie Neighbors, Edna Neighbors and Barbara Martin.

 Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Bro. Gary Mitchell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cook Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 13, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Tuesday 8 a.m.-  until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown.
