Terry "Nosey" Lynn Brown, Sr

Terry "Nosey" Lynn Brown, Sr., 63, of Central City, passed peacefully and serenely into the loving arms of those who preceded him on May 10, 2015. Mr. Brown was born June 26, 1951, in Butler County. He was a retired coal miner and graduate of Drakesboro High School. He was a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend who will always be remembered for his gregarious nature and humor, love of UK basketball, golf, and all things sports, as well as his joy of a great card game. Most importantly, Nosey dearly loved his family and was dedicated to caring for them. He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Rita Brown, the love of his life; brother-in-law Bobby Neal; great-granddaughter Baily Brown; maternal grandparents Clyde and Nancy Christie; paternal grandparents Clyde "Buster" and Cora Brown; step-father Buster Welborn; and one step-brother.

His is survived by his son, Terry Brown Jr. of Central City; grandchildren Terri Lynn (Kevin) Keith of Central City and Colby (Missy) Brown of Beechmont; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Addison, and Hailey Keith of Central City; mother Mildred Welborn of Central City; father Clyde "Wee" (Virginia) Brown, Jr. of Central City; brothers Roger (Sharon) Brown of Buck Creek and Gary (Terri) Brown of Central City; three step-brothers; one step-sister; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 14, 2015, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Brian Jones officiating. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
