Terence Brian (Terry) Lynch

Terence Brian (Terry) Lynch, 56, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 13th at his home surrounded by those who loved him.  He was born May 28th, 1964 to Thomas P. (Pat) and Nancy S. Lynch in Birmingham, Alabama.  Terry was a graduate of Vestavia Hills High School, Class of 1982.  He then proudly attended The University of Alabama from 1983 until 1986, leaving there to accept a sales position with McWane Ductile.  He spent his entire 34-year career, ultimately rising to the position of Regional V.P. of Sales.

Terry was a generous, loving, and gentle soul.  From the age of two he was trying to leave home, not so much to run away but in search of adventure.  It was an indication of things to come as he spent his adult life traveling for work and for fun.  His joy in entertainingwas a big part of who he was both in his personal life and work.  He loved Alabama Football, travel, and golf, with Ireland and Kiawah Island holding a special place in his heart.  Most of all he loved nothing more than spending time with his wife Julie and their dog, Cookie.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife Julie, his parents Pat and Nancy Lynch, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, J.T. and Frankie Smith, siblings, Tim Lynch, Beth Vick (Charlie), Tommy Lynch (Annemarie), sister-n-law Cindy VanderLaan (Mike), brother-in-law, Mark Smith (Mary).  He was a particularly proud uncle to his nieces and nephews, Thomas Vick (Jordan), Katie Knause (Charles), Charlie Vick, Elena and Emma Lynch, and Chelsea and Evan Smith, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends.  One of the great blessings in the last years of his life was being a great uncle to Roman Worsham and Maggie Vick.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Marie Lynch, and Pierce and Elizabeth (Boots) Sullivan.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on May 1, 2021, in Hoover, AL.  Visitation will be at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral mass at 11:00.  In lieu of flowers please considerdonations to the Friends of Butler County Animals, P.O.
