Sylvia Lacefield Kessinger

Sylvia Lacefield Kessinger, 95 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday November 10, 2015 at the Cal Turner Nursing Home in Scottsville, Ky. Sylvia was born August 22, 1920 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Houston Lacefield and Rosetta Bryant Lacefield Veteto and wife of the late Odie Kessinger. She was a member of Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church, a housewife and a babysitter from 1971- 2004 to more than 30 children. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by three sons Denzel Kessinger, Gwendon Kessinger and Mendell Kessinger, son in law Charlie Martin, great grandson Bradley Childress, stepfather Commodore Veteto, half sister Frances Lacefield Embry and five sisters Ardie Willoughby, Arvie "Sissy" Brooks, Novella Dillingham, Bonnie Casey and Ruby Embry.
 Sylvia Lacefield Kessinger is survived by two sons Wendell Kessinger wife Mary of Liberty, Ky. and Lindon Kessinger wife Norma of Leitchfield, Ky.; four daughters Arvone Martin of Louisville, Ky., Ruby Lone Embry of Scottsville, Ky., Wondena Raymer husband Carlos of Morgantown, Ky. and Sharon Kent husband Sam of Scottsville, Ky.; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; half brother Buddy Veteto wife Melvie of Welches Creek, Ky.; half sister Pandora Veteto Embry husband Clarence of Brandenburg, Ky.; sister in law Floy Kessinger of Louisville, Ky.; brother in law Freddie Embry of Morgantown, Ky. and several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday November 13, 2015 at 2:00pm with Bro. Greg Fields officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday November 13, 2015 from 10:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
