Sylvia Ann Abell, 70 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Sylvia was born on Thursday July 20, 1950 in Central City, Kentucky to the union of the late Dale and Janie Strader Zackery. She was a retired teacher for the Butler County Board of Education, co-owner of Abell and Atherton Educational Consulting, and a member of the WKU writing project. Sylvia loved teaching. traveling, the beach, and playing Rook.

Sylvia Ann Abell is survived by one daughter Jennifer Chapman of Bowling Green, KY; one son Patrick Abell and wife Melissa of Nashville, TN; two granddaughters Mia and Laila Chapman both of Bowling Green, KY; four siblings Jack Zackery and wife Debbie of Central City, KY, Judy Hutchins and husband Randy of Murray, KY, Rick Zackery and wife Peggy of Portland, Oregon and Cindy Mason of Louisville, KY and several nieces and nephews.

A walk thru visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be privately held on Friday, January 29, 2021 with Bro. Darryl Dockery officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to ST Jude 501 St Jude PL Memphis, TN 38105.
