Sue Washer Thompson, 57, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN. She was born April 25, 1960 in Louisville, KY the daughter of Monroe and Dorothy Bandy Washer. She was a qualified medical assistant and was a salesperson at Feeders Supply in New Albany, IN.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Johnny Washer and Ralph Bandy.

She is survived by her husband Steve Thompson of Georgetown, IN; two sons Michael and Travis Ruby both from New Albany, IN; two stepsons, Derrick Thompson (Angela) of Lanesville, IN and Jake Thompson (Kelly) of Palmyra, IN; one daughter, Danielle Ruby of Georgetown, IN and stepdaughter, Patty Woods (Shawn) of Salem, IN; three brothers, Mitchell Washer of New Salisbury, IN, Spencer Washer (Mary) of Bowling Green, KY and Grover Washer (Liz) of Morgantown, KY. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Cole Thompson, Lane Woods, Emma Ruby, Alexis Hartman, Reed Woods, Dakota Thompson and Kendal’Lynn Ruby.
 
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Orange Cemetery in Morgantown, KY. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 7 PM Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, IN. and from 10 AM to 7 PM Friday, January 12, 2018 at Smith Funeral Home in Morgantown, KY.

Due to inclimate weather and safety concerns the family has requested that services for Sue Washer Thompson will be held at Smith Funeral Home at 10 am Saturday, January 13. With a private burial to follow.
