Steven Thomas Daugherty, 46 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. He was born November 10, 1965 in Omaha, Nebraska he was the beloved son of Ralph and the late Joan Perry Daugherty and Shirley Allen Daugherty who survives. Steve was a retired Navy Veteran and served 20 years on different ships and Naval Stations. Italy was his favorite overseas location. He loved to cook and brought back the taste of Italy. His latest interest was his job with Black Hawk Composites in Morgantown, Ky. He was a member of Mt Vernon Baptist Church and enjoyed being with his extended family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Omer and Mae Daugherty and maternal grandparents Harry and Loena Perry.
Steven Thomas Daugherty is survived by his father Ralph (Shirley) Daugherty; sister Deborah (Mark) Hoffman; 2 brothers Jack (Danielle) Daugherty and Ryan (Darla) Daugherty; step sister Rachel (John) Gilpin; 2 step brothers Tim (Nanette) Allen and Randy(Mary) Allen; special cousin Rick Collins; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many loving friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at 1:00pm with Bro. Brian Talley officiating. Burial will be in the Mt Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, from 4:30 pm - 8:00pm and Thursday from 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
