Steven Allen Phelps, 66, of Morgantown, KY, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017, at his residence. Steven was born March 3, 1951, in Bloomington, IL, to the late Chester C. and Zelmer Cardwell Phelps. Steven retired from Kellwood after 36 years and was a custodian at BCHS for 8 and a half years. He was also a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church. Other than his parents, Steven is preceded in death by two brothers; Clifton Phelps and Wendell Ross Phelps.
Steven is survived by his longtime companion, Martha Garner, of Morgantown, KY. two sons; Brandon Phelps (Patricia), of Bowling Green, KY and Jared Phelps of Bowling Green, KY, one daughter, Christy Phelps-Jones (Debbie) of Bowling Green, KY and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Daugherty officiating.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2017, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jones Funeral Chapel and Thursday, October 5, 2017, from 10:00 AM until funeral time at 2:00 PM at Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church.
