Shona Hudnall

Shona Hudnall’s soul departed this world on September 14th, 2021, after a three-week battle with Covid-19 related complications in the Covid ICU wing of Vanderbilt Medical Hospital in Nashville, TN. Shona was born into the arms of a gentle giant for a father, and a wandering soul of a mother on July 24th, 1963, in Rawlins, Wyoming. Shona will be remembered for the fierce, uncompromising, & unwavering love for her husband, four biological children, two stepchildren, and her four grandchildren that she dedicated her time on earth to encouraging, guiding, protecting, and remaining a safe place for each of their hearts. Above all else though, to this author, she will be remembered as the person God answered so many prayers through. Whether it was from the Middle East, or just a two-hour drive away, she was never too far away to be wherever, and whatever her children needed her most… a parent who endlessly, and unconditionally loved her children.

Shona will be survived by her husband, Johnny Hudnall (56) of Russellville, KY, her four children: Michael Nims (38, Murfreesboro, TN), Christopher Nims (37, Atlanta, GA), Elisha Nims (34, Ventura, CA), and Valerie Barnett (34, Wilmington, NC), as well as her five grandchildren: Mary Nims, Jeremiah, Cruz, & Maverick Barnett, and Summer Nims. She is also survived by her four siblings, Michael Zamora, Cheryl Zamora (California) Shellie Roberts, & Dale Roberts, and is preceded in death by her biological father; Robert Roberts, her stepfather; Frank Zamora, and her late granddaughter; Cali Lynn Barnett.

“For if we believe that Jesus has died and risen again, so also will God bring back with Jesus those who asleep in him… After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” - 1 Thessalonians 4:14, & 17 - 18.
