Shirley M. Searles, age 78, of Rosiclare, IL passed away March 9, 2016 at Rosiclare Rehabilitation and Health Care.

Shirley was born in Lauderdale County, Tennessee on October 13, 1937 to Isaac and Lillie (Reynolds) Wiseman. She married Kenneth Searles on December 6, 1952. Shirley was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Rosebud. She was retired from Red Kap industries. She enjoyed traveling and cooking.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth Ray Searles of Rosiclare, IL; son Mark Allen (Vicki) Searles of Glasgow, KY; daughter, Robin Lynn Pedigo of Rosiclare, IL; two sisters, Joyce Rickard, Ann Watson; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Terry Ray Searles, Jeffrey C. Searles, brother, Isaac Lynn Wiseman, granddaughter, Yolanda Searles.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016 at Antioch Baptist Church in Rosebud, IL. The service will be conducted by Bro. Kevin Richerson. Interment will follow in the Davisson-Bumgarner Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service on Monday at the church. Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, IL is in charge of arrangements.
