Shirley Hubbard

Shirley “Nanny” Jeanne Hubbard, 68, of Butler County, died at 1:41 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011, at The Medical Center.

The Anna native was born Sept. 26, 1942. She was surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren when she entered Heaven to be with her Jesus. She was retired from Union Underwear and the Warren County Board of Education, having worked at Moss Middle School. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Bowling Green. She was a daughter of the late Henry Brown Cline and Buelah Miller Cline of Bowling Green, who survives.

Funeral was at 1 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2011, at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens Cemetery. Visitation began at noon at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Joe Hubbard; three daughters, Kimberly Sue Hubbard, Karen Sue Hubbard and her fiancé, Dewayne Skaggs, and Debra J. Alexander and her husband, Edward, who could always bring a smile to her face; five sons, Jeffrey Hubbard and his wife, Margaret, Jonathan Hubbard and his wife, Pam, Tommy Hubbard and his wife, Twana, David Hubbard and his wife, Karyn, and Daniel Hubbard and his wife, Connie; grandchildren, Joe Wesley Neighbors, who she proudly helped raise, Justin Alexander, her little buddy, Erin Moore and her husband, Chris, Katelyn Hubbard, Brandy Hubbard, Candice Hubbard and Earnest Hubbard; six stepgrandchildren, Ashley Van Meter, April Raby, Matthew Groce, Chad Groce, Chris Groce and Samantha Geralds; nine great-stepgrandchildren; a brother, Steve Cline; three sisters, Sue Bailey and her husband, Burdel, Betty Flowers and her husband, Larry, and Maxine King and her husband, Joe; brothers-in-law, JC Hubbard and his wife, Janet, and Ronnie Hubbard and his wife, Mary Sue; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her faithful companions, Scruffy, Daisy and Snickers.
