Shirley Bates Eaton, age 82, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Village Manor Christian Care Community in Bowling Green of natural causes. Graveside Services will be at 1:30 PM on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Green Hill Memorial Gardens with burial to follow. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Monday, November 7, 2022, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mrs. Eaton was born in Hopkins County, KY, on February 5, 1940, the daughter of the late Archie Lee and Iva Bell Owen Bates. She was employed for 42 years and worked as a customer service manager for Pennyrile Rural Electric. Shirley was a member of Pembroke Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Doris Albert Eaton in 2000.

Survivors include her daughters, Dana Kennedy (Rory), of Clarksville, TN, Jennifer Hampton (Josh), of Morgantown, KY; and two grandchildren, Kayla Kennedy and Laney Bell Hampton.
