Shelby Jean Roten, 82 of Morgantown, KY passed away Friday August 13, 2021 at Morgantown Care & Rehab. She was born on Friday, February 24, 1939 in Butler County, KY to the late William and Mildred Lee Ayers and wife of the late Jerry Roten. Shelby retired from the Texas Department of Human Services and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.She enjoyed watching UK Basketball and traveling.

Shelby Jean Roten is survived by her caregiver Jeanie Locke and husband Bryan of Morgantown, KY and several cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 1:00pm. Burial will be held in the Hill Haven Memory Garden. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 17, 2021 from 11:00am until service time at 1:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus 3532 Ephraim McDowell Dr. Louisville, KY 40205.
