Ruth Hatcher Vanderveer passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at her residence in Lake Hamilton , Florida.  She was born May 11, 1926 to the late William (Bill) Hatcher and the late Arah Belcher Hatcher of South Hill, Kentucky.  She was preceded in death by her sister Margret Hatcher Hudnall and brother in-law Thomas H. Hudnall.

She is survived by three daughters; Phyllis and Willie Duarte of Lake Hamilton, Florida, Patsy and Charles Russell of Haines City, Florida, and Joan Baker of Bowling Green,  two sons; James (Jimmy) Vanderveer and Rhonda of St. Cloud, Florida and Timothy (Timmy) Vanderveer and Debbie of Riverview, Florida, 11 eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and eight great great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. 

There will be a celebration of life in the fellowship hall of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church on February 16, 2013, from 1-2:00pm for family and friends.
