Ruth Alyce Wolaver Cowan, 92, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center in Morgantown.  She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Oct. 10, 1928 to the late William and Evalyn Evans Wolaver. Ruth was of the Methodist faith and a homemaker.  She liked to travel and read. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill J. Cowan; daughter Cindy Cowan; brothers Billy and David Wolaver; sister Jean Wolaver; daughter in law Johnna Sue Cowan.  

Ruth is survived by son Greg Cowan of Morgantown; grandchildren Kristi Johnson (Alex) of Morgantown;  Michael Cowan (Mona) of Colorado Springs, Co.,  Kelli Arias (Louis) of Lawrence, Ma., Daniel Cowan (Rachelle) of Morgantown, Ky.; seven great grandchildren Zoie Davis of Lawrence, Ma., Zoria Davis of Morgantown, Ky.. Lila Arias, Adlie Arias and Amadeus Arias all of Lawrence, Ma., Gunner Cowan of Morgantown, Ky., Millie Cowan of Colorado Springs, Co.; sister Penny Shattuck (John) of Punta Gorda, Fl.
