Ruby "Pauline" Hammers

Ruby Pauline Bailey Hammers, 94  of Rochester, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Belle Meade Nursing Home in Greenville, Ky. Mrs. Hammers was born June 7, 1918 in Butler  County, to the late Rhier and Nina Belcher Bailey.  She was a member of  Rochester Baptist Church and an Airplane Riveter in WWll.  Pauline was a  homemaker,  avid UK fan,  loved cooking, piecing quilts and gardening.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Cooke Hammers, daughter Patricia Pauline Hammers, Great Grandson Haskell Hudnall, sister Laura Mae Bailey, four son-in-laws Bobby McKee, Randall Maxfield, Mickey Dwyer and Darrel Evitts  

Ruby Pauline Hammers is survived by six daughters; Joyce McKee of Rochester, Aline Maxfield of Rochester, Linda Benton and husband Larry of Drakesboro, Jane Tutko and husband Andy of Morgantown, Doris Dwyer of Drakesboro and Sandra Evitts of Greenville; four sons; Loye Hammers and wife Judy of Rochester, Gary Hammers and wife Hilda of Browder, Troy Lenn Hammers of Lewisburg, Keith Hammers of Rochester; Two Sisters Tempie Webster of Morgantown, Coleen Turner of Central City; 20 Grandchildren, 35 Great- Grandchildren, 15 Great-Great Grandchildren.     

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Sunday, April 7, 2013 at  2:00 p.m. with speaker Shane Wells officiating . Burial will follow in the Rochester Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 3:00pm - 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 8:00 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown.
