Ruby Jean Adkins, 75 of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away March 27, 2020 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky. Ruby was born January 1, 1945 in the Sorgho Community of Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Malcom and Imogene Roberts Cooper and wife of the late Thomas Lee Adkins. She was a member of Newman Baptist Church in Owensboro, Kentucky and a homemaker. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one daughter Pamela Sue Henry.

Ruby Jean Adkins is survived by one son Thomas Wayne Adkins of Owensboro, KY; one granddaughter Jamie Hale of Evansville, Indiana; one grandson Dakota Adkins of Owensboro, KY and 2 great grandchildren; six sisters Sandra Adkins, Brenda Aull, Debra Smothers, Patricia Peay, Connie Castell all of Owensboror, KY and Donna Cooper of Illinois; three brothers David, Terry and Dennis Cooper all of Owensboro, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Due to the Governor of Kentucky and his Executive order given on March 17, 2020 and based CDC recommendations to decrease the spread of COVID - 19 all services for Ruby Jean Adkins will be private. Burial will be held in the Lumbustown Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Chapel.
