Ruby Christine Davis, 91, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Born in Morgantown, Kentucky to the late Oakley and Ruby (Flener) Coots on May 16, 1935. Chris was a member of Westport Baptist Church. She retired from Louisville Gas & Electric and worked for Owen Funeral Home with her husband for over 15 years. Chris was also honored by receiving the Key to the City of Louisville.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Davis: her brothers, Leon Coots, Cammie Coots, Jimmy Coots, William Coots and Jerry Coots; and her sisters, Dorothy Flener, Katheryn Politano and Gwen Lee. She is survived by her brothers: John Coots (Sharon) and Victor Coots (JoAnn); her sisters, Jean Leake, Kay Dwyer (Buddy), Barbara Willoughby (Larry), and Marsha Flewallen (Ken); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to acknowledge the special love and care she was given as a resident at Forest Hills Commons.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 29, 2026, 1pm-5pm and Saturday, May 30, 2026, 10am-11am at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Her funeral will be 11am Saturday at the funeral home.

Chris will be laid to rest beside her husband, Gerald, at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky.
