Royce E. Dockery, 74, of Horse Branch passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Owensboro Medical Health System in Owensboro, KY.

He was born on December 8, 1937 in Butler County, the son of Grady and Stella Mae Dockery. He was a timber cutter. He attended the Church of God in Horse Branch.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Dockery of Horse Branch, 4 daughters Dianna Wilson of Hartford, Deloris Jackson (Steve) of Morgantown, Tammy Hayes and Jeannie McPhearson both of Horse Branch, 3 sons Marty, Ricky and Jarod Dockery all of Horse Branch, 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Jewel of Morgantown and Albert of Horse Branch, and 3 sisters Lucille, Bonneta, and Betty all of IN. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Ann Dockery and 2 sons Stephen Ray and Danny Edward Dockery.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Sonny Whitley will be officiating. Burial will be in the McCannless Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of service.
