Roy Wayne Givens, age 79 of South Hill, KY passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at his residence. Wayne was born on Thursday, October 5, 1944 in Butler County, Kentucky to the union of the late Marvin and Ruth Flewallen Givens. He was a member and served as deacon at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and he retired from Holley Performance Products in Bowling Green, KY after 44 years. Wayne and his wife Faye owned and operated Givens Grocery for many years in the South Hill Community of Butler County. After retirement he enjoyed being a part of the Butler County Antique Tractor Club, he raised cattle and hay and was a loyal UK Basketball fan. Wayne enjoyed watching the UK basketball games with his grandchildren and loved spending time with his family. 

Roy Wayne Givens is survived by his wife of 55 years Martha Faye Givens of South Hill, KY; two daughters Ginger Brown (Darrell) of South Hill, KY and Teresa Ferrell (Brian) of Morgantown, KY; eleven grandchildren Kimberlea, Taylor and Elijah Ferrell, Tamara, Marvin, Jaxon, Jace, Jayden, Jordan, Josh and Jarod Brown; one sister Joann McCoy (Roger) of Morgantown, KY; several great grandchildren; one niece; two nephews and great granddogs Bandit, Cracker and Simba.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11:00am with Bro. Bill Downing and Bro. Brian Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery where Marvin Brown, Elijah Ferrell, Darrell Brown, Roger McCoy, Brian Ferrell, Sammy Ferrell, Josh Brown and Jeremy Ford will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 2:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 8:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
