Roy Kirby, 83, of Utica, Ky. passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on May 11, 1932 to the late Thomas and Erdeen Jenkins Kirby. He retired from Orbit Gas, enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, farming and mostly playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Janice Kirby and several brothers and sisters.

Roy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Geneavive Kirby of Utica; son, Roger Wayne Kirby (Sandy) of Owensboro; daughters, Charlotte Dunn (Anthony) and Connie Staves (David) both of Utica; grandchildren, Shanna, Misty, Jeshuah, Janzen, Jacie, Cainnan, Carub and Cody; 18 great grandchildren; sister, Helen Daughtery of Alabama; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at Mt. Olivet Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 1 pm with Bro. Bill Huff officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm and Tuesday 10 am until time of service all at Mt. Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy. 106 in Quality, Ky.
