Ronald Louis "Ronnie" Smith, age 65 of Quality, KY passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Ronnie was born on Wednesday, January 8, 1958 in Louisville, KY to the union of the late Joseph Harold "Bud" and Anita Antoinette Dirksen Smith. He was a member of Huntsville Methodist Church and a retired machinist. Ronnie enjoyed wood working, lending a helping hand, photographing sunrises and sunsets, making people laugh and spoiling the grandchildren. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one son Josey Smith; one brother Dennis Smith, mother in law Sandra Hammers and brother in law Mark Billig.

Ronald Louis "Ronnie" Smith is survived by his wife of 21 years Karen Hammers Smith of Quality, KY; two children Melissa Brey (Willy) of Owensboro, KY and Tim Ashley (Sara) of Minot, North Dakota; grandchildren Addison Newton of Caneyville, KY, Will and Oaklynn Brey of Owensboro, KY, Josie and Hunter Ashley of Minot, North Dakota; six siblings Donna Billig of Louisville, KY, Janice Seaman (Steve) of Louisville, KY, Barbara Seaman (Mike) of Louisville, KY, Terry Smith of Morgantown, KY, Karen Jarboe (Rick) of New Albany, Indiana and Brenda Embry of Payneville, KY; father in law Steve Hammers of Huntsville, KY; several nieces and nephews and  special great niece and nephews Cash, Case, Charli and Cole.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 12:00pm with Bro. Bill Burke officiating. Burial will be in the Huntsville Methodist Church Cemetery where his family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm and Thursday 8:00am until funeral time at 12:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
