Roger Walton Maxfield, 62 of Rochester, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at his residence. Roger was born December 14, 1949, in Muhlenburg County to the late James R. and Esthline Cottrell Maxfield. He was a member of Rochester Missionary Baptist Church and retired heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by two brothers Randall and Donald Maxfield.

Roger Walton Maxfield is survived by 2 daughters; Alaina Garner and husband Cody of Rochester, and Amber Maxfield of Rochester; grandchildren Rager and Aliana Jo Garner of Rochester; 2 brothers Robert Maxfield and wife Imogene of Bowling Green, and Richard Maxfield of Greenville, and several neices and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at the Rochester Cemetery Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at 11:00 am with Bro. Roger Heltsley officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.jonesfuneralchapel.com.
