Robert Melvin Hereford, 85, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Louisville, Ky. He was born in Ralph, Alabama on August 7, 1932 to the late William Hereford and Stella Watkins Hereford. He was an Army and Korean War Veteran, a farmer, brick layer and an avid coon hunter. He was very proud of his work with the prison ministry. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and three sisters.

Robert is survived by three children Dianna Hereford of Louisville, Susan Hereford of Phoenix, Az. and Bobby Hereford of Louisville; four grandchildren Dawn, Brenton, Jaz and Shelby Hereford; one great grandson Andrew Hereford; honorary grandson Craig Cohron; best friend Tommy Richardson; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 15 at 10 am with Bro. Gary Embry officiating. Burial will be in the Tuck Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14 from 4-8 pm and Tuesday 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home in Morgantown, Ky.
