Butler County Jailer Wayne Russ came before the court saying the jail was updating the jail’s policies and procedures and is working with County Attorney Michele Duvall in that process.

State Senator Steve Meredith contacted Judge/Executive Tim Flener about naming a section of highway in Butler County in memory of the late Senator C.B. Embry, Jr.  The court agreed on a section beginning of the KY 79/US 231 junction at Aberdeen and running to the Ohio County line.  Embry served in different elected positions in Ohio County, as well as Butler. The court will prepare signage and a resolution to complete the request.
