Rita Fay Cardwell, 63 of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday July 19, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Rita was born November 16, 1956 in Butler County, KY to the late Forrest and Aline Johnson Phelps. She enjoyed camping, riding 4 wheelers, collecting rocks and she loved her cat Sassie.

Rita Fay Cardwell is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Sam Cardwell of Morgantown, KY; one daughter Gayla Keel (Gary) of Morgantown, KY; one son Sam Cardwell Jr (Becky) of Morgantown, KY; three grandchildren Brent Brooks (Rikki) of Morgantown, KY, Brittany Duvall (Ronnie) of Nortonville, KY and Cory Cardwell of Morgantown, KY; two great grandchildren Jaden and Kagelynn Duvall of Nortonville, KY; three brothers Joe Phelps (Shannon) of Morgantown, KY, Findley Phelps (Ruth) of Edmonson Co, KY and Forrest "Woody" Phelps of Morgantown, KY; four sisters Frankie Cardwell of Morgantown, KY, Kathy Dockery (Donald) of Morgantown, KY, Joy Henderson (Timmy) of Morgantown, KY and Megan Phelps of Morgantown, KY and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday July 22, 2020 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and all other services are private.
