BROWNSVILLE, Ky.- Richie Seabolt, 68, of Roundhill passed away with family by his side June 14, 2026 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

The Edmonson County native was a carpenter, an auto mechanic and a Baptist. Richie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother- he wanted to be a friend to everyone, and had very many special friends whom he loved. He never met a stranger, and always had a story to share. If Richie loved you, you were going to get picked on. He was the son of the late Dallas Laymon Seabolt and Maggie Jeanette Basham Seabolt of Roundhill, who survives. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Lynn Houchin; and a nephew, Brandon Anderson Houchin.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Dit Vincent Cemetery. Visitation will take place 12:00-7:00 PM Thursday and after 10:00 AM Friday.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Reda Daugherty Seabolt; four children, Christopher Seabolt (Sonia) of Louisville, Dylan Seabolt of Roundhill and Scott Forbes (Reva) and Stacy Hayes (Ben) both of Morgantown; a sister, Tonya Houchin (Tim) of Roundhill; six grandchildren, Mason, Katherine Jeanette, Kara Lynn, Brooklyn, Arianna and Hunter; three nieces, Maggie Piper, Nikki Elmore and Brooke Crume; two nephews, Jesse Mudd and Austin Houchin; his beloved pet companion, “Swin”; and many special friends.
