Richard Lee Morris, 60, of Hartford, Ky. passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Ky. He was born in Wooster, Ohio on April 13, 1958, to the late Franklin Morris Sr. and Gydline Parks Hoover.  He was a retired roofer, member of Bible Baptist Church in Ohio Co.  He loved his family, dogs, watching westerns and wrestling on tv and eating frog legs.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Aretha Morris; daughter Susie Lindsey and sister Bonnie Morris.
Richard is survived by his children Ricky Morris of Hartford, Bonnie Daugherty (Josh) of Fordsville, James Morris (Brooke), Erica Brown (Matthew) and Jodie Morris all of Hartford; 6 grandchildren; sister Kay Lee and brother Franklin "Puppy Dog" Morris Jr. (Darlene) both of Morgantown; several nieces, nephews and his dog Max.
 Funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, June 2 at 11 am with Bro. Cleatus Bowman officiating.  Burial will be in the New Liberty Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, June 1 from 5-8 pm and Saturday from 8 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home in Morgantown.
