Richard D. Casey, 85, of Beaver Dam, KY, passed away, Sunday, September 11, 2011 at his residence. Richard was born April 24, 1926 in Ohio Co., to the late Roy and Famie Austin Casey. On April 21, 1945 Richard married his wife of 66 years, Anna Rhea Casey.

Richard was the Pastor of the Beaver Dam Community Church for 48 years. He was an avid guitarist in the thumbpicking style, and a retired salesman for the Collins Company, a division of RCA.

He is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Dixie Lee Casey, his brothers, Leroy, Jimmy, and Eddie Casey, and his sisters, Lela Casey, and Dorothy Farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Rhea Casey of Beaver Dam, his sons, Kerry Wayne Casey of Frankfort, and Richard Alan Casey of Hartford, his daughters, Shirley Walters, of Horse Branch, and Gina Givens of Welchs Creek, KY, his two brothers, Billy Casey of Florida, and Dean Casey, of Louisville, as well as, 6 Grandchildren, Winter, Heather, Amber, Britney, Brian, and Colton, and 8 Great-Grandchildren, Kacey, Derek, Justin, Jarrod, Jamie, Amelia, Dylan, and Elijah.

Funeral service were held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Bro. Jesse Tichenor officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
