Rex Denton Davison, 74, of Louisville, KY passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born December 02, 1938 in Ohio County, KY, the son of Birch F. Davison and Edna Mahurin Davison. He was a former Kentucky State Police Trooper. Rex was also a Mason and a man of faith.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn of Louisville; his daughter Debra Davison Wells of Indianapolis, IN; his son Christopher B. Davison of Knightstown, IN; his two step-sons: Michael and Steven Harper of Louisville and a step-daughter Sally Vandevander of Louisville and his brothers: Phillip Davison of Memphis, IN and Gene Davison of Elgin, AZ. Also surviving are ten grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville with Pastor Gregg Curtis, pastor of the Stithton Baptist Church in Radcliff, KY officiating. Burial will be in the Mahurin Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Friday, Dec. 18, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
