Recie Dukes Hankins, 77 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, April 4, 2016, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Recie was born on Thursday, March 16, 1939, in the Beechmont community of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky to the late Luther and Anna Mae Luckett Dukes. She was a 1957 graduate of the Hughes-Kirk high school, a member of Big Muddy Missionary Baptist Church and a retired school custodian in Indiana. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by son Gregory Lynn Hankins, three sisters Jenny Peay, Roberta Williams and Hellen Baker and three brothers Martin, Robert, and Norman Dukes.
Recie Dukes Hankins is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Sammy Hankins of Morgantown, Ky.; one daughter Stacy Shepard Hankins of Morgantown, Ky.; one sister Pat Mack of Nashville, TN; two granddaughters Ericka Mae Hankins of LaCross Indiana and Samantha Shepard of Valparaiso Indiana; two grandsons James Hankins of Morgantown, Ky. and Allen Dickinson of California; seven great grandchildren Savannah Dee Salyer of LaCross Indiana, Breana Nichole Brewer of LaCross Indiana, Autumn Pacheco Hankins of Fairbanks, Alaska, Lucas Gregory Salyer of LaCross Indiana, Steven Eugene McDaniel of Valparaiso Indiana, Sophia Dianne Reeder of Valparaiso Indiana and Dillon Dickinson of California and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 12:00pm with Bro. Ronnie Forrest officiating.,

Burial will be in the Dan Johnson Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday April 8, 2016 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 8:00am until funeral time at 12:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
