Raymond Lee Burden, 68, of  Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Jewish  Hospital in Louisville, Ky.  He was born in Butler Co. on May 29, 1948 to the late Silas and Della Mae Cox Burden.  He was a Drywall laborer and a member of the Conservation Club. Raymond enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved his dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren Jay Raymond Morris and Maegan Hobbs; one sister Anna Lou Woosley and one brother; Ronnie Burden.

Mr. Burden is survived by his wife of 48 years Carolyn Burden of Morgantown; one daughter Jeanetta Hobbs (Keith) of Morgantown; one son Steven Burden of Morgantown; four grandchildren Kelsey Williams, Paige Hobbs both of Morgantown, Tabetha Hobbs, Rylee Hobbs both of Adairsville, Ky.,1 great-grandson Carter Pham of Tn., three sisters Barbara Colter, Patsy Moore (Ron), Peggy Burden all of Morgantown; one brother Jerry Burden of Morgantown; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Leonard Oak Baptist Church on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Rodney Smith and Bro. Terry Johnson officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Ridgeview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18 from 11am-2pm time of service at Leonard Oak Baptist Church, Morgantown, Ky.
