Presley Burton "Pres”" McCoy

Presley Burton “Pres” McCoy, aka Uncle PB, 94, of Morgantown, Ky. entered into the arms of his Savior on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Ky.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on August 15, 1925 to the late Edward B. and Murnie Ann Brown McCoy. He was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church where he led the singing for many years with his daughter accompanying him on the piano, he retired from Holley Carburetor in Bowling Green, ran the Main Street Pool Room, worked for many years as a Funeral Assistant at Smith Funeral Home and farmed.  Presley was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the 10th Mountain Division from 1944-1946. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 66 years Virginia Hudson McCoy; brothers RC, Paul Willis, Pen, Prentice and Wallace McCoy.

Presley is survived by his daughter Mary Ann Lockhart and husband Ricky of Morgantown; grandchildren Jennifer Brown and husband Brandon, Lance Lockhart and wife Alana and Cody Lockhart all of Morgantown; great grandchildren Lydia Grace and Matthew Landon Brown, John Bennett and Jude Barrett Lockhart all of Morgantown; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26 at 12pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. David Daugherty and Bro. Murl Gray officiating.  Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery.  Military Honors will be presented by the Ohio Co. Honor Guard. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, February 25 from 4-8pm and Wednesday from 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
