Phyllis McRae,  71, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away January 23, 2020 at her residence. Phyllis was born July 29, 1948 in the Welch’s Creek Community of Butler Co. Ky. to the union of the late Chester “Chet” and Ruey Burden Johnson. She was retired from the Butler Co. Board of Education, attended Crossland Community Church and was a St. Jude Partner in Hope. Phyllis enjoyed woodworking, working in the yard and spending time with family and friends. 

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Heather McRae, of Morgantown, Ky, son, Jeremy McRae, of Belton, Ky, honorary granddaughter, Sadie Elizabeth Phillips, of Oceanside, CA and several cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 27, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. Greg Farrell officiating. Burial will be in the Snodgrass Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Monday, January 27, 2020 from 8:00 AM until funeral time at 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas PL., Memphis, TN, 38105.
