Phyllis J. Howard

Phyllis J. Howard, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on Wednesday,  July 16, 2025, at Morgantown Care & Rehab. Born on Thursday, September 30, 1943, in Jamestown, TN, Phyllis's life was a tapestry of cherished moments and enduring relationships.

Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bates and Lucy Hatfield Crockett, her siblings Kenny, Bill, Harold, Clarance, and Jean Crockett, and her sons father, Eugene Howard, Phyllis's legacy of love continues through her family. She is survived by her children, Ken and Katina Howard, and Edward and Ann Howard. Her six grandchildren, Trevor Howard (Brittany), Maghen Schroader, Kenton Howard (Hayley), Kaitlyn Levis (Cameron), Olivia Elms (Jake), and Cora Phelps, along with her great-grandchildren, Jack Howard, Beckett Levis, and Dakota Schroader,. Phyllis is also survived by her sister, Clara Gray, her lifelong friends, Helen Ayers and Marcia Elms, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was a member at Morgantown First United Methodist Church and the Butler County Homemakers. Her passion for life was paralleled by her love for playing golf and shooting trap. Phyllis also had an immense affection for her fur babies, who brought her immense joy and companionship.

All services are private with burial in the Mt Vernon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Butler County Animal Shelter P.O.
