Philip Wayne Amos

Philip Wayne Amos, 48 of Lafayette, TN formerly of Morgantown, KY passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, in Smyrna, Tennessee. He was born on Friday, March 30, 1973 in Louisville, KY to the late Charles L. and Paula Stites Amos who survives. Philip was a sales manager at Harbor Freight Tools in Franklin, Kentucky. A Butler County High School graduated Class of 1991, past president of FFA , a member of AGR at Western KY University and Philip loved spending time with his family. Other than his father he is preceded in death by brother Ersley Amos, brother in law Harold Coots, mother in law Pamela Ann Ewert and grandparents Herman and Ethel Amos and Norman and Willie Stites.

Philip Wayne Amos is survived by his wife of six years Cassandra Amos of Lafayette, TN; eight children Cailey Lowhorn (fiancee Mark Prost), Jordan Tyler Amos, Paige Hammond (Zack), Melody Zabel (Logan Whittemore) all of Lafayette, TN, Justin Vance Amos of Greenville, KY, Riley Zabel of Lafayette, TN, Jaxsen Amos of Greenville, KY and Sophia Amos of Lafayette, TN; mother Paula Amos of Morgantown, KY; two sisters Sherri De-Ann Shain (Anthony) and Kay Coots both of Morgantown, KY; three grandchildren Graysen Hammond, Freya Lowhorn and Reagan Whittemore all of Lafayette, TN; two aunts Judy Hinton of Ohio and Janice Patrick of Leitchfield, KY; father in law Glen D. Ewert of Wichita, Kansas; three sister in laws Nicole Winter (Justin) of Wichita, Kansas, Candil McKellip (Shawn) of Wichita, Kansas and Jeanie Bishop Amos of Morgantown, KY; grandparents Donald and Geraldine Ewert; several nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, August 20, 2021 at 1:00pm with Bro. Brian Proctor officiating. Burial will be held in the Minton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 5:00pm - 8:0.pm and Friday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
