Peggy Smith Jenkins, age 67, of Adairville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at her residence.  She was born in Butler County, Kentucky on December 20, 1952 to the late Paul Thomas and Hazel Vera (Kinkade) Smith.  Peggy was a Christian, and retired from the City of Russellville after 26 years as City Clerk.  She is a member of the Butler County Eastern Star, Banock #531.  Peggy is preceded in death by two sisters Jean Goodall and Paulette Fritz and is survived by her husband of 48 Years Bill Jenkins, two sons; Joseph Jenkins (Amanda) of Auburn, Kentucky, and P. J. Jenkins (Tara) of Clarksville, Tennessee, two brothers; Phillip Smith of Morgantown, Kentucky, and John Smith of Woodberry, Kentucky, a sister Sandy Johnson (Diddle) of Morgantown, Kentucky and five grandchildren; Makayla, Hailey, Autumn, Adalin, and Cade

The Jenkins Family have requested a private visitation and funeral will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. Raleigh Blancett officiating. Burial will be held in the Cool Springs General Baptist Church Cemetery in Morgantown, KY where Joseph Jenkins, P.J. Jenkins, Todd Johnson, Conner Johnson, Matthew Smith and Joseph Whitfield will serve as pallbearers. Young Funeral Home and Jones Funeral Chapel are in charge of arrangements.  

The family ask that donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or envelopes are available at the funeral home.
