Olivia Warren

Olivia Warren, 89 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday, October 7, 2016, at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Olivia was born September 9, 1927, in McHenry Kentucky to the late Ethel Pernod. She was selected as a Jefferson Award winner in 1990. This award is given as recognition for exceptional community service. She devoted many hours to her community by serving on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Butler County Athletic Boosters, City Beautification Program, Catfish Festival Committee, Ladies Auxiliary, Butler County Little League Committee in which the Little League Field was named after her and an avid Kentucky Sports fan. As a result of Olivia's participation in the above activities, she was a servant in the community and excelled in helping many community aspirations become realities.
Olivia graduated from McHenry High School in Ohio County and also attended Western Kentucky University preparing her with skills to pursue her professional future. She moved to Butler County in 1952 where she drove the original Book Mobile in the county. While driving the roads in all areas of Butler County she gained valuable knowledge that prepared her for her next career move. She spent 30 years at the ASCS office in Butler County serving the needs of farmers in the county. Other than her mother she is preceded in death by two sisters Christine Etherton and Nicola Robinson.
Olivia Warren is survived by one son Billy (Marilyn) Warren; one daughter Teresa (Wayne) Wright; three grandchildren Greg (Alisha)Burris, Stacey (Marty) Edmondson and Ryan (Natalie) Burris and two great-grandchildren Sloan Edmondson and Ava Grace Burris.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at 2:00 pm with Bro. Mike Thomas officiating.

Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Tuesday 8:00 am until funeral time at 2:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
