Olive Carson Cook

Olive Carson Cook, age 104 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at her residence. Carson was born on Monday, December 18, 1916 in Butler County, KY to the late Henry and Oma Neel Rock and wife of the late Maburn Cook. She was the oldest member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church and the Gideon Auxiliary. Carson was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved gardening, sewing and cooking. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one grandson Marcus Miller, raised as a brother Bro. Raymond Ward and one sister Grace Wilson.

Olive Carson Cook is survived by three daughters Fae Clark, Pat Vaughn and Sue Whittinghill (Glen); eight grandchildren Scott Miller, Jennifer Troutman (Matt), Jeff Whittinghill (Teresa), Wayne Vaughan (Michelle), Jill Hampton (Mike), Leslyn Rushing (Dale), Wryn Anderson (Todd) and Jana Lawrence (Hollis); 21 great grandsons; 8 great granddaughters; 6 great great grandsons and 4 great great granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held at the Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1:00pm with Bro. Roger Taylor and Bro. Brian Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery where her grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 10:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at Aberdeen Baptist Church.
