Ola Lue West

Ola Lue West, 73 was a Butler County native. She was born on November 10, 1943. She passed away on January 7, 2017. She lived at Roundhill, Kentucky for the past 40 years.
She was survived by her husband, Ronald West of Roundhill, Kentucky, her one daughter Charlotte Embry, and one grandson Ethan Embry, one granddaughter Emily Embry all of Caneyville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her father Edward Fishburn and her mother, Martha Phelps Fishburn.
She was a loving wife and mother, a devout Christian of the Jesus Name Holiness faith. She attended the Wicherville Jesus Name Holiness Church. She was a Butler County High School graduate, class of 1962. As a teenager she sang in a gospel group called "The Friendly Four and Doyle." In the 60's they sang in churches in Butler and surrounding counties.
Most of her married life she was a homemaker, but in the latter part of her life for around 20 years she helped her husband as a team, building houses. Some of the things she enjoyed in life were being with her grandchildren, playing the piano, planting flowers, gardening, cooking, canning, sewing, taking pictures, fishing, and her dogs.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 1:00 pm with Bro. Cecil Compton and Bro. Ronnie Corbin officiating.
Burial will be in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2016, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 11, 2017, from 8:00 am- 8:00 pm and Thursday, January 12, 2017, 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
