Odell Elmore, 88, of Louisville, Ky. passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at his residence in Louisville, Ky. Odell was born in Butler Co., Ky. on March 25, 1932  to the late Isaac and Grethel Phelps Elmore.  He retired from Phillip Morris as a machine operator and was a Army Veteran. He liked to work on lawn mowers and piddle around the yard. Odell also loved fishing and being outdoors.   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 52 years, Dimple Johnson Elmore; sister Della Elmore; daughter Michelle Cardwell; grandson Brian Cardwell; great- grandson Michael Cortie.

He is survived by his children Deborah Cortie (Darrel) of Louisville, Ky., Donna Prewitt of Louisville, Ky., Timmy Elmore (Gloria) of Louisville, Ky.; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; two brothers Doyle Elmore of Morgantown and Delmon Elmore of Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on, Thursday July 30 at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Nicholas Greenman officiating. Burial will follow in the Minton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30 from 10 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
