Obie Woosley Jr, 73, of Caneyville, passed away Friday, November 4th, 2016 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.

He was born on Wednesday, January 20th, 1943 in Butler County, the son of the late Obie Woosley Sr. and Gertie Mae (Brooks) Woosley. He was a member of the Church of Christ faith and also a farmer.

Obie is survived by his wife, Beverly Jean (Hatalla) Woosley of Caneyville; three daughters, Becky Jean Woosley and Betty Mudd both of Caneyville and Tina Strickland of Tennessee; two sons, Richard Wayne Woosley of Caneyville and Jerry Dale Hatalla of Edmonton; one brother, Kenneth Eugene Woolsey of Louisville; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Dale Woosley; one brother, Earl Woosley and one sister, Mable Hayes.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 9th, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Mike Cannon will be officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Tuesday, November 8th after 2:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am until time of service.
