BROWDER - Nyla Faye Drake, 72, of Browder, entered into her rest on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Mrs. Drake was born July 17, 1945, in Muhlenberg County, to the late Cecil and Beatrice Jarvis. She was a housewife from the time she was married, throughout her life. She was a member of Browder Missionary Baptist Church. Nyla enjoyed working in her yard, attending cookouts, shopping, driving fast, and crocheting. She absolutely loved a good argument, and Elvis Presley was the second love of her life. She was truly a unique character; we will not see her like again. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 41 years, Robert Lee Drake; sisters Willow Knight, Doris Knight, Wanda Leslie, Stella Jenkins, and Dorothy Gossett; and brother Cecil Jarvis Jr.

She is survived by her brother, Bill Jarvis of Browder; daughters Lora (Danny) Forbes and Teresa (Dennis) Kinkade, both of Morgantown; sons Troy (Kristie) Drake of Bowling Green and Ricky Drake of Browder; grandchildren Crystal (Richard) Oliver, Brenda (Timmy) Hutchinson, Josh (Danielle) Drake, Jennifer Drake, Heather Drake, Taylor Kinkade, Hailey Drake, Kelsie Drake, and Drake Kinkade; great-grandchildren Stormie Garner, Caitlin Forbes, Leigha Phelps, Chloe Garner, Brayden Hutchinson, and Braxton Drake; special friend Jim Herode; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 2:00PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Pastor Josh Scott officiating. Burial in Rochester Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
