Norma Jean Romans

Norma Jean Romans, age 84 of Morgantown, KY passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, KY. Norma was born on Friday, October 14, 1938 in Muhlenberg County, KY to the union of the late Elmer and Rosie Willoughby Leslie and wife of the late Herman Lee Romans. She was of the Baptist faith and a retired seamstress. She enjoyed collecting antiques, sewing, crafts, quilting and flower gardening. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two sons Michael and Bryan Romans; one granddaughter Marie Romans; one brother Dorris Leslie and one sister Betty McKinney.

Norma Jean Romans is survived by two children Alan Romans (Gwen) and Deborah Johnson of Morgantown, KY; two daughter in laws Charlotte Romans and Pam Clark of Morgantown, KY; three siblings Lois Smith (Tim), Flo Burnside and Johnny Renfrow (Jackie) all of Indiana; six grandchildren Jeremy Johnson (Rachel), Charity Maxfield, Michael Wayne Romans (Emily), Brooke Romans, Autumn Hernandez (Rafael) all of Morgantown, KY and Nathaniel Romans of Bowling Green, KY; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00 am with Bro. Michael Romans officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Haven Memory Garden where Jeremy Johnson, Zachary Taylor, Thomas Maxfield, Jonas Romans, Nathaniel Romans and James Maxfield will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
