Norma Flener Clark

Norma Flener Clark, 90, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center. She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on December 16, 1927.  Norma was the daughter of the late Maggie E. Morris Flener and Hobert Flener.  She was a member of the Morgantown First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She was a member of the Clara Lee Missionary Circle and a member of the ladies singing group called Lennie’s Girls, they sang at the Morgantown Nursing Home and met at Norma’s home to sing.   She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading, traveling and entertaining both family and friends.  She was a beautician, being the owner and operator of Norma’s Beauty Salon here in Morgantown.  Norma traveled to Japan and was excited to visit a foreign country to see its wonders.  Norma was a loving caring woman who enjoyed her life to the fullest. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill Clark; brothers Lyndon and Wendell Flener; grandson Eric Lee.

Norma is survived by one son Mark Lee of Morgantown; one sister Sue James of Bowling Green; two step sons Doug Clark of Williamstown, Ky. and Anthony Clark of Morgantown; grandson Jason Lee of Good Year, Az.;  great granddaughter Gianna Lee of Good Year, Az; great grandsons Gage and Dillon Lee of Good Year, Az.;  step granddaughter Nicole Clark of Bowling Green;  step grandson Patric Clark of Williamstown, Ky.; step great granddaughters Aubrey and Olivia Clark both of Williamstown, Ky.; half-sister Donna Borum of Sebree, Ky. and half brother Kenny Flener of Sebree, Ky; many nieces and nephews.
 
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Morgantown First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Building Fund, The Gideons International, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or  The Alzheimer’s Association.

Visitation will begin on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10am until time of Funeral at 1pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the Hill Haven Memory Garden.
